Please read these notes before completing the application form
In line with the objects of The John Bristow and Thomas Mason Trust, personal grants can be given for the promotion of education or to those in personal need such as hardship, distress, illness, disabled or infirm.
Grants can only be made to people living in the area of benefit being the 1926 boundary of the Parish of Charlwood which includes Hookwood and Lowfield Heath.
Trustees meet every other month, usually the third Thursday of the following months:
January, March, May, July, September and November.
Applications for educational grants need to be received by the Trust Secretary at least 2 weeks before the meeting. Please include the name and location of the college/university, the course you are taking, length of the course, which year your grant request relates to and wherever possible provide a copy of your course offer. These applications will be considered by the Trustees and a reply would normally be sent by two weeks after the meeting.
Other more sensitive applications may need to be dealt with a greater sense of urgency and instead of completing the application form in full you may prefer to leave your contact telephone number. One of our Trustees will then telephone you to discuss how we may be able to help.
Advice
The Trust Secretarial contact or any of the Trustees will be pleased to advise you how to fill out the form and whether your application is likely to be eligible.
